Smeryczanski, Stella Peacefully at her home in St.Catharines on Saturday, April 19, 2014. In her 91st year, Stefania (Stella) Smeryczanski (nee Duchminski), beloved wife of the late Michael Smeryczanski. Loving mother of Diane Strupp. Loving “Baba” of Kimberly (Fred Kryzanowski),Tamara Strupp(Alan Scott) and Nathaniel Strupp (Ashlea). Great Baba of Savion, Nadine, Alicia, Jagger and Maverick. Dear sister of Anne, Michael and Sylvia. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Mary, Helen, Margaret, Antonette and brother Eugene. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Julia Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines (905-684-5603) on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:30am. Rite of committal at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fonthill.Memorial donations to the Alzheimers’ Society would be appreciated by the family.
