Our Staff

We're proud to introduce members of the professional team who are privileged to serve you at Garden City Funerals & Cremations.

Bryce Giroux

President & Managing Director

A St. Catharines native and graduate of West Park Secondary School, Bryce Giroux began his funeral service career in 2012. Having completed his observation period right here at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel (now Garden City Funerals & Cremations), he entered the funeral service program at Humber College from where he graduated in 2014. In the years since he left Humber, Bryce has held progressively responsible positions with funeral homes in Toronto and here in the Niagara Region, as a funeral director.

Beyond his demanding professional responsibilities and ongoing development of his own skills, he has also been active in community outreach, organizing charitable events. Over the years he has also volunteered his time with various sports associations including the Niagara Football Association and Concord Soccer Club, as well as Habitat for Humanity.

A significant part of Bryce’s career has been his focus on the role of introducing, encouraging and mentoring young people interested in a career in funeral service. He has also served his profession in a volunteer capacity, sitting on the Board of Directors of the Niagara District Funeral Service Association.

In September 2020, Bryce Giroux achieved a career goal, becoming the owner/manager of his own funeral home in the heart of downtown St. Catharines, allowing him to serve his home town from his own business.

Clayton Hawkins

Funeral Director

Clayton Hawkins joined our team as a Funeral Director early in 2022 bringing with him five years professional experience serving families here in the Niagara Region. A member of the fourth generation of his family to call the Niagara area home, Clayton knows the community and the people well and takes great pride in his roots here.

Away from work, he is actively involved, and currently a council member, at St.Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls.

Clayton and his wife Peighton focus their free time on family pursuits and getting their exercise walking with their basset hound Harvey.
