MILLEN, Maureen Agnes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen on Monday February 12, 2024 at the age of 85 at the St. Catharines Hospital. Beloved sister of Anne Macoretta (Anthony), Sheila Swart (the late Doug) and the late Rosaleen Haymes. Much loved “Auntie Mo” to Dennis, Ron & Darren Macoretta and to Brian Swart (Jackie) and the late Paula Swart. Predeceased by her parents William & Beatrice Millen. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and extended family.

Maureen emigrated from England to Canada in 1953 with her family. She was employed with Kelsey Hayes, formerly Conroys Manufacturing, for 34 years, retiring in 1990. She was an avid traveller and enjoyed many great holidays with friends. Maureen loved music and loved playing her piano.

The family wishes to thank Dr.Maida and nurse Trevor with Home and Community Care for their kindness and compassion in caring for Maureen.

Visitation will be held at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 230 Lake St, on Wednesday February 21, 2024 from 11AM-12PM, Mass will follow at 12PM noon. Rite of committal will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Walker Cancer Centre or to St. Denis Church would be appreciated.
