Tom worked as an educator for 33 years in the Niagara Catholic school boards. He spent most of his career as an elementary principal at schools in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, but finished his career as the VP at Saint Paul in Niagara Falls. As an educator he is remembered by his students to have been “strict, but fair”. He loved to golf, curl, cycle and play bridge with friends and family, and he was a great partner on the dance floor. He was also a strong supporter of the Blue Jays.

In their retirement, Tom and Annette enjoyed many years of travelling and exploring the world together. Alongside this, he continued to volunteer with Out of the Cold, St. Vincent de Paul and the Knights of Columbus.

The family is very grateful to the staff of the St. Catharines General Hospital floor 5B and 3B and the Woolcott Wing of the Welland Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
