Vout, Shirley Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara Hospital in Niagara Falls on Sunday, February 18, 2018. In her 83rd year, Shirley Jean Vout (nee Turnbull), beloved wife of Douglas Neil Vout. Loving mother of Mary Jane (Chris Smith), Lorena (Gord Shipperbottom) and Jamie Vout (Kathleen). Loved Nana of Shannon (Pete), Ray, Jason (April), Brandon, Austin, Sean(Cheyanne), Kyler, Autumn (Brandon) and Danni-Lynn. Great grandmother of Schuyler and Allie. Dear sister of Earl Turnbull. Sister-in-law of Eleanor and Thelma. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers Don (Mary), Allan and Bob and by six sisters Mary (Doug), Dorothy, Muriel (Al), Betty , Isabelle (Jack) and Francis (John). We lost someone who was truly the definition of special, a beautiful soul who gave determination a new meaning. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street,St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11am. Memorial donations to the Walker Cancer Centre, One Foundation or the Sick Children’s Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
