Obituary of Penny Pomeroy

Pomeroy, Penny Passed away peacefully with family by her side at her home in Thorold on Monday, September 25, 2017. In her 78th year, Penny Ann Pomeroy (nee Kaplan), beloved wife of Ed Pomeroy.Loving mother of Eva (Jim Gavin) and Aaron (Llen). Loving grandmother of Isaac, Sam, Abe and Eli. Dear sister of Edith. Sister-in-law of Claudia (John McLeod). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and countless friends. Predeceased by two brothers Leo and Phil. Penny was very proud of her work as a health planner with the district health council and champion to many social causes. Penny was mainly about her family and friends all of whom will miss her greatly. A funeral service will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12noon. Interment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fonthill. Following Penny’s wishes no flowers please, memorial donations to Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold would be appreciated by the family.
