Obituary of Kathleen Madej

Madej, Kathleen (Kay) Passed away peacefully at the Royal Rose Place in Welland on Monday, August 28, 2017. In her 97th year, Kathleen Madej (nee Blanch), Beloved wife of the late Stanislaw Madej (1986). Dear mother of Stanislaw (Krystyna). Loved grandma of Eric (Ania), Thomas (Keelie) and Henry. Great grandmother of Daniel. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by four brothers Stanley (Lois), Martin (Leah), Joseph (Nellie) and Frank (Isabel) and three sisters Victoria MacKay, Mary (Arnold Willick) and Sophia (Leo Koabel). Kay was born in Niagara Falls, the daughter of the late Andrew Blanch and his late wife Jadwiga. Kay graduated from Loretta Academy High School. She had a love for sports, especially basketball, playing cards and relating family stories. A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Royal Rose Place. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 9am until time of service in the funeral home on Saturday, September 2,2017 at 11am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
