Obituary of Vanda Lianga

Lianga, Vanda Peacefully at the Niagara-on-the-Lake General Hospital on Thursday, January 17, 2013. In her 90th year, Vanda Lianga (nee Zubavicius). Beloved wife of the late Jonas (John) Lianga. Loving mother of Alfonsas, John (Shirley),Victor (Nancy), Rita (John Jasudavicius), Raymond (Erika), Christine (David Orr) and Richard (Lina). Loving “Mociute” of Anna (Corry), Noel (Kim), Zoe (Ben), Jonathan, Aaron, Luke, Jasmine, Gia, Dane, Sierra, Veja and Saulius. Great grandmother of Esme and Sadie. Dear sister of Kestutis, in Lithuania. Predeceased by a daughter Violetta, by two sons Edward and Henry. Vanda’s family wish to thank the nurses and staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital and the Niagara-on-the-Lake General Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to the Community Care Access Centre for their home support and care. Vanda was a dedicated mother living her life for her children. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel,(905-685-6584) 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Monday January 21, 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 9:30am. Rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ontario Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
