Mary was blessed with great grandchildren; (Noah, Mia and Luka Takashi, Logan From, Hailey and Gavin Lanthier and most recently Charlie St. Jean) Mary was born in St. John's Newfoundland to Mary Margaret and James Power. She was sister to Regis, Patricia, Kay, Margaret, Molly, Josephine and Jack. She grew up with her nieces Margie and Josie and nephew Billy. Margie and Mary were two peas in a pod and together they had the ability to create a party on the spot - be it the kitchen, the backyard, an airplane or a pub! Mary's hobbies were both traditional and edgy as she loved to cook making delicious roast dinners, Manhattan clam chowder and clams casino among other tasty dishes. However, she also loved to hop on a bus to the races and wager on horses to win, place or show having done her homework in advance! Mary instilled the values of hard work and honesty which she lived by through her work as a cashier for Loblaws and as an owner of a small business in St. Catharines in the 1960's. She greatly enjoyed her retirement years in Tampa Florida loving the warm weather, her cozy mobile home and the friendships she created. She bravely battled illness in her later years, but managed to enjoy life and the simple joys that came her way. Mary will be greatly missed by friends and family.
