Obituary of Catherine Mary Guitard

GUITARD, Catherine Mary (nee McCormack) - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mom/grandma, Kathy Guitard, on April 13, 2022. Kathy was an Ontario Scholar, and a brilliant administrator. Ultimately she settled on a career as a Medical Secretary to spend more time with her kids. Kathy's compassion and kindness shone through no matter what the situation, except when playing Crokinole. Her quick wit never failed to bring a smile to those around her. If ever you wanted to see her radiant smile, you were guaranteed one if you brought her chocolate chip cookies or Lindor chocolates. Kathy is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Verna McCormack of Hamilton, and her husband Garry of St.Catharines. She will be dearly missed by her children Jason, Andrew (Jin Ah), and Laura-Lea. Loving Grandma of Alexander, Nicholas, Erin, and Anna. An unforgettable charge for the staff of Tufford Manor in St.Catharines. Friends are invited to join the family at Patrick J Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St.Catharines, visiting Thursday from 10am until 1 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will take place at the funeral home Thursday at 1pm with interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please write a memory/story of Kathy that can be placed on a memorial board at the visitation.
