MacLeod, Rodney Leonard Entered into eternal rest into the arms of out lord and saviour Jesus Christ; Rod passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by parents Len and Barbara MacLeod. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years Mary (nee Bowen) his son Rodney Jr. (Janice) daughter Jacqueline (Dr. Jorin Lukings) and 3 very special grandchildren Morgan Lukings and twins Nathaniel and Mackenzie Lukings, brother Neil MacLeod sister Carol (Pierre) sisters in law Margaret (the late Bob), the late Pat, Teresa (Rob), Ann Marie (Paul) and brothers in law Chuck Bowen, Robert Bowen (Susan). He will be missed by wonderful friends and neighbours Paul and Aggie Marchand , Tom Kennedy (Anita), Nancy and Wald Paul, Mercedes Lukings and Janice Antonio. Rod was born in Dryden, ON, and moved to Brantford at 12 years old. He attended James Hillier Public School and North Park Collegiate. He received a B.A. degree from Wilfred Laurier University and his electrician’s papers. He worked at the Brantford Hydro until his retirement. He and wife Mary moved to St. Catharines to be closer to family in 2010. Rod’s love of learning never ceased, and he was an avid reader especially his bible. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle man, and a man of deep faith. Death leaves a heartache no one can heel. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Cremation has taken place as well as a private family funeral entrusted to Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel.
